A big thank you to everyone who joined and donated to the QB Wood Architects charity event on 22nd August.

It was a great day with good company, and together we raised £5,230 for our chosen charity Edinburgh & Lothian Prostate Cancer Support Group. The funds will help them reach more people in need and continue their vital community work.

We’re already looking ahead to next year’s walk/cycle fundraising day on 31st July 2026 — hope to see you there.

Thanks again to everyone who supported the event, whether by donating or taking part.

It’s hard to believe three weeks have already passed since our fundraising day. It was a fantastic day, all in support of Edinburgh & Lothian Prostate Cancer Support Group, and we’re so grateful to everyone who joined us.

A huge thank you as well to everyone who has donated. We’ve reached an incredible £5,270 so far! The fundraising page will remain open for the rest of the week, so if you haven’t donated yet, there’s still time. Every contribution truly makes a difference and is much appreciated.

Charity Cycle & Walk – Friday 22nd August 2025

We’re getting ready for our annual Cycle & Walk fundraiser, and we’d love your support.

Cycle: 45 miles from Dalmeny to the Falkirk Wheel, the Kelpies, and back along the Forth.

Walk: 10 miles through Dalmeny Estate.

This year we’re raising funds for the Edinburgh and Lothians Prostate Cancer Support Group (ELPCSG), a local charity offering vital support to men living with prostate cancer and their families. It’s a cause close to us, and every donation helps them continue their work.

If you’d like to join in, get in touch. If not, you can still support by donating here:

Any donation would be much appreciated.

Thank you for helping us make a difference.

We’re really pleased to have been invited to the Royal opening of the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society’s teaching glasshouse at Saughton Park, Edinburgh.

We were approached by the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society (The Caley) in late 2023 to help them with obtaining a Building Warrant and arranging the contract for a Glasshouse at their home in Saughton Park, next to their demonstration garden, for teaching and propagating.

The Glasshouse is now complete and HRH the Princess Royal, Princess Anne (Royal Patron of the Caley) seemed to enjoy her visit the other week. It was a fantastic experience to chat with HRH and members of the project team, Caley, and other gardening-related organisations.

The potting shed and brickwork below the Glasshouse (constructed by Gardens by Water Gems) compliments the 150-year-old stone wall behind while the grey frame and slated potting shed match in with the rest of the buildings in the courtyard. The bespoke glasshouse was supplied by Griffin Glasshouses and we’re sure it’ll get a lot of use over the coming years and provide a valuable teaching and growing opportunity for members of the Caley.

QB Wood Fundraiser Day for Maggie’s Edinburgh on Friday 26th July 2024

Maggie’s Edinburgh is based at the Western General Hospital in a bright, welcoming purpose-built centre. They offer free drop in emotional and practical support to anyone affected by a diagnosis of cancer including family and friends.

Please see our JustGiving page below. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to join us on the day for a walk or cycle, please drop us an email or message and we can give more details. Everyone is welcome!
