Sometimes a Velux window isn't the right option for the job, the client in this tenement roof in was after something more energy efficient, because the ceiling tunnel was so long there was no need to be able to open the window.

We made it work by installing a code 5 lead detail and sealing a double glazed unit in place πŸ‘Œ

A job for our existing client at in the Scottish Borders this week was looking for something modern and energy efficient to allow light into his dull porch β˜‘οΈ

We Knew there was already some rotten timbers below but didn't expect the extent of this to be as bad, the roof was made up of a rock asphalt which is never easy to remove but the guys smashed it out the park πŸ’ͺ⚾️

We removed the roof material and replaced half the rafters and timber deck then formed the opening for this monster window 1000mm wide x 2000mm long, this was a fixed base curved glass flat roof window with a two layer internal glazing 😎

We then installed a three layer felt system with a grey mineral pollyglass finish to seal. πŸ‘Œ

Our client at Dalhousie castle was looking for something modern and energy efficient to replace two old timber framed single glazed skylights 🏰 β˜‘οΈ

We removed the framed and raised the kerbs with treated timber then installed new grey mineral flashings around to seal, then installed two skylights with double glazed units and black Upvc frames which look first class πŸ€©πŸ‘Œ
