The first mow (pre-strim) of my front lawn this year…

After a strange winter time in the North of Scotland which didn’t hit the usual really low temps and only maybe 3 snow falls worth mentioning, the lawn striped up nicely on the first time of asking…

There are still rough patches but nothing a bit of maintenance won’t deal with!

I’ve applied a spring fertiliser to see the results, if there are results (if the weather holds up and we don’t get the famous March snow) I will then be making the rounds and applying to my customers… talk about being a Guinea pig 😂

Multiple passes today with the scarifier from .

Getting the lawn prepared for seeding, fertiliser, soil improver and top dress next week.

Unfortunately has let me down with the aerator that I had booked and paid for for Monday - alternative required ASAP (tomorrow’s job)…

A full brown bin and 23 bin liners full of moss removed from the front lawn… my back and shoulders are going to enjoy the pizza that’s on its way right now!

Demon Cat! 😺

Just got home and decided to go play hide and seek with Hamish in the back garden😂

His eyes are better than mine however, he can’t mow the lawn and I can sooooo 🖕🏼

Did a freshen up of a customers lawn today but forgot to take before and afters like an idiot, desolé!

Going back to Ian’s the next couple of days to start machine maintenance and get the lawn popping…

No Filter Early Monday Morning Lawn Check!

So this week I am on a QRA duty in my main job in the RAF so I will be in work for limited hours.

That means this week there will be some new before and after photos and who doesn’t love before and after photos?

Autumn is just around the corner so now would be a good time to start looking at Autumn lawn feeds - I will personally be using Ultimate Autumn / Winter Fert (6-5-10).

I’ve been using A1 Prem seed and couldn’t be happier with it so committing to continuing using their products. They seem to be all over the lawn game!

Have a great start to the week, folks and enjoy your gardens after work because soon the dark nights will arrive and it won’t be the same 😂 ( )… 🤫

That’ll do for Friday afternoon stripes!!

Someone walked past while I was mowing and gave me compliments about how good it looked!Always makes a good start to the weekend!

I am on limited hours at work for the next 6 days so lawn jobs during the day…

Tonight visiting a friend for dinner who can rustle up a feast then hopefully spend most of the next week out on lawns!

After a weekend of saving my dads life from drowning at Hopeman beach we hit the comeback trail on the lawns after crazy damp weather the past couple of weeks!

Visited 2 lawns last night to check up on progress and for mows… Was pleasantly surprised!

The watering on Ashley’s lawns wasn’t 100% but we still have the bare patches filling in and the lawn is really getting that nice dark green thick feel - that was a grand mow and great progress!!

Angela has been watering her front lawn religiously and it looks to really have had the desired effect! Really nice thick growth from the seed I put down 3 weeks ago - some w**ds still popping through but until we get that pre-emergent down in spring it’s going be an ongoing battle to get the w**ds under control!

Now that I have these 2 jobs under control and will be easier maintenance from now on I’m moving onto other bigger jobs to start the process again and spread some more lovely lawns throughout town!

And the stripes achieved without a striping kit are pretty strong!

Today I re-visited my first ever customer and although the progress isn’t as good as I initially wanted, we are definitely making progress (see the before and after pics)…

Dethatched, scarified, w**d and moss killer, seeded and fertilised with products and we are up and running.

I’ve manually aerated today (absolute lick 😩), added more seed and feed and will be revisiting in 3 weeks-ish for a mow and strim etc…
Fun way to spend a bank holiday Monday and now for a kip! 😴
