Wishing everyone a very happy Christmas! Thank you to everyone who has supported us this past year, ordered plants and seeds or simply said hello at various plant fairs. It means a lot.

Order dispatch will be resuming after January 5th.

The shortest day of the year is now past us and so we can look forward to brighter days in the garden to come!

Here's a photo of a rarely seen Arisaema that only appears around late December each year. Not formally described to science and hence unnamed as yet - suggestions welcome! 😆

Winter is the perfect time for planning for next season, and for buying seeds!

A couple of popular Aroid seeds are back in stock:

Leucocasia gigantea (sometimes known under the old name Colocasia gigantea)

and the very rare Zantedeschia jucunda - a hardy and beautiful yellow Arum Lily from South Africa.

We have already had our first germination from our Amorphophallus titanum seeds! These are still available and would make a fun Christmas present!

Titan Arum seeds are back in stock!

After many years, I finally found a source of Amorphophallus titanum seed from cultivated plants. These seeds are legal and not wild collected (unlike almost all seeds offered elsewhere).

Perfectly fresh and the real deal.

Get them whilst they're still available!

Amorphophallus titanum seeds - the Titan Arum! Fresh seeds from cultivated plants. Titan Arum seeds occasionally crop up on other selling platforms, however, these will almost always be illegally sourced and often taken without thought or permission from wild populations in Sumatra. It is illegal fo...

Dracunculus is a genus of European Aroids containing just two species: Dracunculus vulgaris with it's massive flesh-coloured spathe, and the lesser known Dracunculus canariensis with a pale cream or white spathe and pleasingly fruity scent.

I currently have both species available as dormant tubers, along with a selection of other interesting plants and seeds:

New website update!

It was time for a website update and refresh as a few things were looking a little tired. In particular, the shopping cart needed bringing up to date.

I'm pleased to say that the new site is live and ready to go! Thanks to Nigel at http://devon.media/ for his help and input.

It's been a lot of work and there are still a few tweaks to make, but I hope it will be easier to navigate and use. Take a look at:

Lots of good plants, bulbs and seeds are currently available, with more to come as the season progresses.

A few photos from Sunday's Tremenheere Rare Plant Fair. A great day! Thanks to Tremenheere for hosting.

The range and quality of plants on offer really was superb.

Setting up for the day in very heavy rain, I wasn't sure anyone would turn up, but as the plant fair opened the weather improved and the day turned out to be lovely. In fact, it was so busy I only managed to take these very few phone snaps!

Typhonium circinnatum is one of my favourite tropical Aroid species.

There are currently a small number of flowering sized tubers available on my website. I hardly ever have these for sale and it is a rare species, always in demand.

All of 15cm tall, but with a big smell and personality!

What a great day at the Tregrehan Garden and Cottages rare plant fair on Sunday!

Thanks to everyone who came out, bought plants and stopped for a chat. And thanks to Tregrehan for hosting the event.

I just about managed to snap a few photos of our plant stall before the 10am opening and it became too busy for any more photos!
