Another Leak Solved by On Demand Plumbing

The customer noticed water running down behind the bath every time the shower was used, and a leak had become visible in the ceiling below. Thankfully, we were able to pinpoint the problem quickly.

🔍 Diagnosis:
A 25+ year-old concealed shower was leaking from the outlet connection. Because the leak only occurred when the shower was in use, there were no obvious signs when the system was switched off, making it a tricky fault to track down.

🔧 The Solution:
With no practical access to the concealed shower valve, there was no sense in patching things up. We carried out a complete and lasting repair:

✅ Removed and renewed the wall panels
✅ Removed the old shower and rebuilt the wall section
✅ Adjusted the pipework as required
✅ Installed a brand-new thermostatic shower
✅ Fitted a new shower screen
✅ Resealed everything properly
✅ Reinstalled the bath panel

The result? A fully watertight shower and complete peace of mind for the homeowner.

Now they can enjoy a long, relaxing shower without worrying about water damage elsewhere in the house.

Sometimes this job is about more than just plumbing. 🔧❤️

A few weeks ago I was parked up at the shops when a 90-year-old gentleman chapped my van window. His usual plumber had retired and he was looking for someone new — asked if I had a business card. I handed one over, had a quick chat, and off he went.

Fast forward a couple of weeks and I get the call. Tge electric shower had packed in. He said it was an emergency as his wife is going through cancer treatment and really needs that shower working.
