1. The very traditional Golden Lily by William Morris and 2. Yoko by Spira, a striking modern design.

Tealight lantern making workshop this week 🌟
16 members of the Marksbury Craft Group carefully cutting, sticking, unpeeling and rolling!
In a 2 hour workshop they each made an LED tealight lantern/lightweight pot to take home.
Thanks for a fun evening ladies, lovely company and fab cakes! 😊 😋

It's been a rather lovely year here in Lampshade Making Land 😃 🥳

About affordable lampbases....recycling at its finest ♻️
Every lampshade deserves the right lampbase to shine from.
If you'd love to style up your home with some new lamps but find the cost of a suitable lampbase excessive or aren't sure where to look, you may be interested in visiting your local council recycling centre!
In Bath and North East Somerset we're lucky to have an excellent Reuse shop located at the Keynsham Recycling Centre on World's End Road, Keynsham BS31 1TW.
Every week donated electrical items including lamp bases of all shapes and sizes are PAT tested by a skilled team of volunteers from the Bath area Share and Repair team.
Newly PAT tested items including lampbases are then put out on the shelves of the Reuse shop for purchase.
There are an astonishing number of electrical items going through this process every week, giving you the chance to reduce landfill and find a stylish bargain to match your new lampshade 😃
If you live in this area why not look up opening times and plan a visit, and if you're further afield you might find your local council have a similar scheme.
There are also now 13 regular Share and Repair cafes in Bath and the surrounding area manned by volunteer repairers who can do general repairs to many household items as well as sewing repairs.
It all makes sense, and your environment and budget will thank you 👛 !!

Glowing in the late afternoon sun...
After a warm autumn country walk,I've just come home and made 2 of these glam little lampshades, one to fit a lampbase and one for ceiling.
They're 15cm in diameter and 15cm tall, perfect to brighten a small area or room 😍
