The property although nearly 4000 sq ft and sitting in over an acre of grounds only had 5 bedrooms, one of which was a box room. As the client had a large family they required guest accommodation within the house and a games room. After a feasibility design process was carried out it was concluded that to provide the additional space the vast loft was to be converted- over 100m2. The building had been designed as an Arts & Craft example so the conversion had to be in keeping with the original.
