Have you visited the gardens this spring? The gardens truly blossom this time of year and they are pure joy to wander through. Your walk will take you through magical pathways in the woodland underneath the most magnificent blossom, camellias, magnolia and a rainbow of rhododendrons. Bluebells carpet the woodland as far as the eye can see, there are many seated areas for you to soak in the stunning vistas across Devon and a lovely Tearoom to finish of your visit.

Don't miss out visiting our stunning spring garden.

The woodland is awash with colour at the moment - there isn't a better time of year to see our rhododendrons looking so spectacular.

We are open as usual this bank holiday (1st May). Enjoy a relaxed walk around the gardens and soak in the unspoilt views across the Devon countryside. Finish off by visiting our friendly tearoom for light lunch or a coffee and cake!

Thank you to everyone who entered our spring garden design competition last week. We had some many wonderful entries that we decided to giveaway three prizes. The overall winner was Ella age 8, she was clearly inspired by our castle and we loved all teh detail she included. Well done to Joseph, age 3 and Marianne, age 9 for your colourful entries too! The winners have all been contacted by email.

Continuing the theme of chocolate, we will be giving away a chocolate bunny to every child (with a paying adult) who visits Castle Hill Gardens this and next week (13-21 April) while stock lasts.

The gardens and woodlands are magical places to explore with little ones. Let them run wild through the woods and enjoy the daffodils at their most vibrant. Reward a climb to the castle with your own chocolate bunny hunt; it is a wonderful place to let children’s imagination run free and let off some steam before school starts again.

As ever the weather is very changeable in Devon often with four seasons in one day! If the weather is poor please check if the tearoom is open ahead of your visit to avoid disappointment.

Mothering Sunday & Spring Gardens Opening 🌷🌼

We will be opening up the garden gates this Sunday 11am to 4pm -Come and visit our beautiful spring gardens, bursting with colour and history. Enjoy garden walks in the woodlands amongst the many daffodils, primroses, camellia's, snowdrops, and some early rhododendrons.

Don't worry if you aren't booked in for our pop up Mother's Day afternoon tea, the tearoom will be open for the start of the season. Bring your loved ones and enjoy a light lunch, Devonshire cream tea, toastie or even just a slice of cake and coffee!

It's back! Our annual bunny hunt at Castle Hill Gardens is happening on Monday 10th April 11am - 4pm

Sunday 19th March – Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea 🫖

A selection of delicious homemade sandwiches, quiche, mini sausages, cakes and of course scones with jam and cream! All served with unlimited tea and coffee and pink lemonade or strawberry milkshake for children.

You can also make your afternoon tea extra special with the option to add a glass of prosecco!
