Some tough couple of months going into the end of the year reflections.

While I've had a handful of lovely clients this year and golden customers, unfortunately a few bad subcontractors added to the mix.

Being self employed and independent painter has lots of pros and cons, but unfortunately the dream is over.

I will continue to paint, however moving on into January start a new full time contract painting trains! 🚂

The journey continues ~

Who enjoys cleaning their tools ?
Back to back jobs left a bucket load of brushes and rollers to clean - wrapped up from weeks ago.

Washing my brushes and rollers has never been so good without
Seriously leaves them so fresh!

6 x doors and frames.
Streetmode meets country cottage -
Lucky these doors were in good condition.
Just finished 6 downstairs with 15 glass panels in each door! 🥴
So happy to move onto these plain panel doors !

Possibly the hardest colour to paint, against the white coving and skirting boards, - Cutting in' nightmare!
Lucky i had some good low tak tape, (masq) gave a good clean edge and didn't peel the Satin off.
Still did the top edge freehand...🥴

This garage conversion was cold, but hopefully once the carpet goes down, it will feel like a warmer blue. °

Been a slow steady start to the year, - nice to be back in the flow of paint. 💯 %
January seemed to be like waiting for plaster to dry.
This garage conversion is coming on nicely now the electricians gone and plastering is done.

As one door closes, another opportunity opens! '

Looking back at all the unfinished jobs i didn't take photos of yet...

Sometimes you wonder if you are in the wrong trade or want a break to do something else.

But while the paint keeps moving have to be happy where you are at and how far you have come.

Still alot of tools to clean before the New year *

Thanks to all the clients that made my work a pleasure ~ and thanks to the one bad egg 🥚 that makes you sharper to do things properly for next year. - lesson learnt °
