Today's before and after. This room is going to be used for tattooing and other invasive treatments so the wall wouldn't pass standards as it was originally. Some updates pictures from the decon unit we're currently building. Flooring down, walls and doorways cut out and nearly ready for the final fix.

Some updates from the past week of a decontamination unit and wet room with storage area we're currently building for Air Management Systems (AMS) in Aylesford, Kent.

This will be used for the storage and cleaning of contaminated asbestos equipment such as NPU's and H type vacs, before being cleared to go into their workshop for servicing.

More updates to follow by the end of the week.

Update from last week

Survey patch done on a property in Longfied, Kent to determine the current state of the roofing felt, boards and insulation. As you can see from the pictures, the lack of insulation and any ventilation has allowed condensation to develop which has compromised the roof deck.

Due to this and the age of the roof, the customer has opted for a new DuoPly EDPM roofing system, 270mm insulation and skylight to be installed along with new boarding.

Pictures from last week of repairs to a roof which had started to leak due to the existing panels being cut too short and water working through the gutter joints.

Our solution was to remove, clean and re-seal the existing gutter joints and to extend the polycarbonate sheets and to fit new drainage end caps to the panels, giving much needed overhang into the gutter and stop any water from returning up the panels and back into the shop.

A recent project undertaken by RPIC Ltd on behalf of AMS.

The Decontamination unit (DCU) was constructed within the basement of Shell house (the UK headquarters for Shell), Central London for the use of Asbestos operatives to carry out refurbishemnt works being carried out within the building. The planned works are estimated at 3 years so a mobile unit wasn't a viable option to be used on this site as there are to be 80+ operatives using the unit at any one time.

So RPIC Ltd was tasked with constructing a unit large enough for this many operatives and a more permanant option than the traditional trailer DCU. Everything within the unit has been constructed from the ground up as before this area was just used for staorage.
