Hi Guys...
Its that time of year again when we get call after call with the same question ‘my boiler isn’t working’ Most cases when the weather is below freezing The Boiler will have froze...

A regular Boiler vents out of the exhaust pipe about 25% of the heat in the form of steam & CO2, a condensing Boiler turns the hot exhaust gases into water in a heat exchanger, this reclaims 20% of the heat energy!

This water is then taken out of the Property through the plastic condensate pipe which can be prone to freezing... The Boiler senses a blockage and shuts down...

If this is the case before you call out an engineer, you can boil a kettle and pour over the plastic outdoor pipe, do this 3/4 times, reset the Boiler the hopefully the Boiler should spring to life...

❗️❗️Coronavirus Update❗️❗️

The safety and well-being of our customers and colleagues is always our number one priority, even more so now with the ever-changing progression of the Coronavirus outbreak. In response to the latest guidance and advice from the World Health Organisation and the Government, we’ve added some practical steps in order to protect the wellbeing of our customers and our colleagues.

Our engineers will undertake the following:

Engineers have been instructed that they must self-isolate if they display any symptoms

We will be requesting customers to clear any working areas

No handshakes on arrival

Currently, keeping suitable distance between ourselves is recognised as best practice, we trust our customers will support our engineers and maintain a safe distance whilst they are at the property.

Our engineers all carry personal protective equipment that can safeguard the working environment.

We are providing our engineers with regular updates and coaching on hygiene and how to deal with their work in these situations

We know that people's day-to-day lives are being disrupted and this is likely to become significantly worse, but as far as possible for M&N Bottomley Ltd, we will endeavour to provide the service and customer care we are known for.
As the situation evolves, we will do everything in our power to keep you with Heating and Hot Water.

If any customers new or old are having plumbing and heating problems we will be more than happy to arrange to visit following all the above guidelines.

After yesterdays announcement we understand the upset, worry & quite frankly how scary all this is, however, where it is safe to do so, we are keeping our services open.

Again our first priority is to maintain public health in-line with Government advice, while aiming to continue serving our customers and help them to get their jobs done.
