Majority vote of 12 says that a Tuesday is our best day and so I am inviting all to come round to mine on Tuesday 13th, 7.30pm at 4 Medlars Mead. Happy to supply tea but equally happy to provide glasses if anyone fancies bringing something a little stronger! If you could rsvp please so I know for seats and catering! Look forward to seeing everyone very much.

Blink and the last 5 months have gone! February is time for our second meeting. For some reason I can't get the option to include a poll here, but if you could message to say which evenings in the week work best for you and I will see about suggesting some dates in February. I am happy to host again, but lets see how many of us can make it.

Have just had the following link shared with me that you may want to share and support. We are being asked to plant a tree this month as part of Plantober. Really simple idea and we could compare results in a year's time!... I'm off to find some acorns 😁

8 of us met last night for a lovely evening of gardening chat. From the rights and wrongs of pruning, the best places to buy plants, garden wildlife, planting bulbs, compost, banana water (great tip thanks Jan) and lots more. We agreed we want to do it again in February so we can talk about what seeds we can be planting for next summer and the vegetable patch as well as sharing some of those unused seeds we all have. We may get together before then, perhaps December if anyone fancies it. Post here if you do.

Looking forward to seeing everyone this evening at 7.30pm.

Hello everyone and very sorry for the delay in reply but looking at the responses it seems most people that gave preferences can do the 21st.september as our first meeting date. Sorry to those that can't make it but as we all know, it will never work for everyone. I am not expecting huge numbers so am going to suggest the first meeting is held in my house or garden..weather dependent. 7.30pm start. Would you please RSVP so I know how many chairs to put out and cups of tea to make 🙂

I would like to suggest a first meeting of the club in September. The possible dates I have in mind are the evening of either 14th, 19th or 21st September. I am happy to host depending on weather and numbers otherwise it will be the village hall and cost around £3 per person. Again dependent upon numbers. I would run a poll in FB but can't find it as an option! so perhaps you could let me know if you are interested and the dates that work for you?

It would be a lovely opportunity to catch up on our summer successes and trials and look to the autumn. We can also share notes with those who visited the gardener's world show at Audley End.

Do hope to see as many of you as possible.

Hi everyone. So I would like to make this a very relaxed group, not particularly wanting a committee unless someone would like to step up and organise such a thing?

My thoughts at the moment are that we meet 4 times a year, spring summer, autumn and winter. This would be in the village hall or spring summer meetings in a members garden if the weather is good enough.

At the meetings we can look back at the last season, have a chat about our successes and failures and then look towards the next season. At any meeting people can bring cuttings and seeds to swap and share. I am already gathering seeds to bring!

We would meet in the village hall so a small cost of around £5 per person for hall hire each time.

As the group matures we may want to have a speaker or visit gardens but I think that can be talked through later. So suggesting our first meeting happens mid to late September? If you think that is a good plan then let me know here and I can get a date in the diary. Evening time to enable all to attend.
