🌿 Green Guardians ! 🌱

Nature Restored by Love ❀️

As creating Harmony Gardens, I believe restoration starts with the heart, not a bank account. My new Green Guardians mission is about giving back to the earth through pure stewardship and connection.

The Mission:

β€’ Love Over Money: Restoring nature through genuine care, proving that the best things in life aren’t bought, they’re grown.

β€’ Garden Therapy: Healing the mind while healing the soil. A space to decompress and open the mindset.

β€’ Enjoying the Abundance: Slowing down and rediscovering the peace, clarity, and beauty nature gives us every day, taking time out from the stress we are up against in this day and age.

No experience or wallet required, just an open mind and a little bit of love. 🌻✨

🌿 The "Yes" vs The "Wait"🌳

There’s a world of difference between someone who works in a garden and a true gardener.
A business driven approach often says "yes" to every request because a gap in the calendar is a gap in profit. But a true gardener knows that in May, the "yes" should often be a "not yet."

Why the wait?

We aren’t just trimming branches; we’re potentially disturbing a home. A gardener checks for activity before the shears ever come out.
The "No Mow May" Rule: It’s not about being lazy; it’s about the bees. Letting the clover and dandelions breathe provides vital nectar for pollinators. Even if it’s a small patch left , it’s a small bit of love shared.

While a business might want to clear every leaf and "tidy" the beds, a gardener knows that some organic debris is essential for ground-nesting insects and moisture retention.
A true gardener looks for the root cause of a pest problem rather than reaching for a quick-fix spray that might disrupt the entire local food chain.
A business person manages a site; a gardener nurtures an ecosystem. Choose the one who cares as much about the birds in the trees as the shape of the canopy. πŸ¦βœ¨πŸŒ»πŸπŸ¦β€β¬›πŸŒ³πŸ¦‰πŸ¦”

Repotting the Agave known as the century plant and even found a baby underneath which are known as pups .

Here's some interesting facts about Agave;

The name "Century Plant" comes from the historical belief that the plant flowered only once every hundred years, though in reality, they typically live for 10 to 30 years before blooming.
Agave species are commercially cultivated for their fibers (like sisal) and to produce alcoholic beverages such as tequila and mezcal.
They are pretty amazing plants as Agaves are monocarpic, meaning they flower only once in their lifetime, after which the flowering rosette dies.

This is how slugs are kept under control in a garden. DON'T USE CHEMICALS, use nature. If your garden is not attracting predators, it is out of balance with nature, and that is why you have a slug problem. (UK Post)

Tons of rocks and roots later main levelling is finished for now. 8 hours work altogether with one woman, a rake and shovel. The muscles will thank me eventually after a few days of pain πŸ˜ŠπŸƒ
