My new favourite cookery book, found in a charity shop and bought on a whim for the princely sum of £1.
I'm pretty certain most of these recipes will be featuring in my future.

Happy 4th of July to all my American friends and family. I hope you are having a fabulous day ###

I have decided to stop doing Longarm quilting, effective immediately. Sadly I have lost the joy of it, and that is in danger of spilling over into my love of quilting as a whole.
A very big thank you to everyone who has entrusted me with their quilt tops, it has been a pleasure to work on them for you and help to bring out their best for you.
Once we have managed to create a safer environment for us all and knocked COVID 19 into touch I very much hope to resume teaching workshops, both at the Sewing Studio in Redruth, (if they would like me to), and in my studio. I will also still be available for talks about the history of quilting and my lovely collection of antique quilts.
Until we meet again, stay safe and well.
Happy quilting, Sara

One of the genuinely good guys, this is just a terrible thing to have happened to him.

You have probably heard, Jamie Wallen had his entire trailor stolen upon his arrival in Houston for Festival 2016. Everything. Every item for teaching, every item for their booth, everything! This page is a way that the Quilting Community can show both he and Rich our support as they work through...

These textiles laughed in the face of entropy.

Busy planning a couple of workshops later this month, Midnight Garden, using metallic thread and hot fix crystals and generally having fun on July 12th, and beginners free machine embroidery on July 23rd, which by the way is also fun. There are still a few places available in both, if you are interested please message, me asap.

Last day of Open Studios Cornwall 2016. It has been such a great week, and I'm looking forward to seeing what today brings. I'm here until 5 o'clock this afternoon, so do drop by if you are in Cornwall.

what a great way to use up those old linens that get stuffed to the back of a drawer or cupboard, or end up in charity shops.

While not a strictly crazy quilt design, embroidery and quilt artist Rhonda Dort was inspired to create her version using hexagonal (hexie) quilt blogs.

Rhonda started out with damaged old linens: doilies, dresser scarves, handkerchiefs, crochet, guest towels, trims, laces, embroidery, pillowcases, etc.

Check the Comments section to see a photo of the whole quilt.

Definitely check out Rhonda's Pinterest page as she's posted numerous photos showing her work to create this wonderful wall hanging. ~~~ https://www.pinterest.com/rdort1/my-hexagon-quilt-a-project-now-finished-may-28-201/
