We just wanted to send a quick note as we head into this very warm bank holiday weekend.
With the heat we’re having, it’s quite common for doors and windows — especially UPVC doors — to expand and move slightly during the hottest parts of the day. When this happens, locks and mechanisms can become stiff, doors may feel difficult to open or close properly, and in some cases people can find themselves unexpectedly locked in or out.
We’ve already had quite a few calls over the weekend from customers experiencing exactly these sorts of issues, so we thought it would be helpful to give everyone a bit of a heads up.
If your door suddenly starts catching, sticking, becoming difficult to lock, or just doesn’t feel quite right, don’t ignore it — these issues are often caused by the heat and can sometimes get worse as the day goes on.
Although we’ll also be trying to enjoy a little bit of the sunshine with our families this weekend, please know we’re still here and will always do our very best to help both existing and new customers where we can.
If you do run into any problems with your doors or locks, just get in touch and we’ll try to assist as quickly as possible.
Enjoy the sunshine, stay safe in the heat, and hopefully your doors behave themselves!
