This kind of intense rain is becoming more and more frequent with climate change.

How can you be prepared for the future and slow the flow to help reduce flash flooding?

💧 Empty water butts before heavy rainfall events- the water can then be used or released slowly afterwards.

💧Replace non permeable surfaces like tarmac with permeable ones like gravel or even better grass or plants🌸

💧 Install a rain garden to slow and reduce rain before it enters the drainage system.

Combined drainage systems can back up in extreme rainfall events causing this⬇️⬇️⬇️
