This week we have been busy completing a refresh of this hall, stairs & landing (walls and ceilings only) — transforming the space by creating definition between the walls and ceilings. Originally, the same colour had been used throughout on both walls and ceilings, leaving the area feeling darker and not making the most of the limited natural light.

We repainted using Crown Extreme Stain Resistant Scrubbable Matt in shade Magnolia for the walls and Crown Extramatt Low Reflection Emulsion in shade White for the ceilings, giving a clean, fresh finish that not only looks great but is also durable and easy to wipe clean — a much-needed upgrade from the original contract matt finish which highlighted every scuff and inperfection. Highly recommend this paint from Crown Trade Paint for coverage, ease of use and a perfect finish👌.

We also finished up a job from last week, carrying out stain blocking to the head of a window following a leak (now fully repaired), before repainting the area including the window board and window frame to leave everything looking fresh and finished, ready for its new tenants to move into and make their home 🏡 (walls and woodwork were not requested in this room by the customer)

It’s all about the details — refreshing, protecting and bringing spaces back to life ✨

✨ A little transformation from a job I completed 3 weeks ago… and yes — this is the one where I completely forgot to take before & after pictures! 🤦‍♀️😅

Thankfully, these photos were kindly sent over by my wonderful customer (3 weeks ago too 🙈), but somehow got lost amongst other messages until this evening while sorting through my inbox — thank you so much, Cath 🙂💛

Friday Feeling ✨

As promised, back to this lovely customer’s home to complete the upstairs and give everything a freshen up ready for its new tenants to move in and make it their own 🏡

This week has been all about repairing cracks, sorting minor damage, and getting everything looking fresh, clean, and move-in ready 👌🎨

Slightly delayed with the schedule this week due to a couple of appointments: a last minute doctors appointment Monday and a follow up hospital appointment for my broken foot (which 7 weeks later, is still very much broken! ☹️) meaning two half days instead of full ones — but no worries, I’ll be back next Friday to make up the difference and get everything finished to the high standard we pride ourselves on 💪

✨ Another transformation completed for a returning customer this week ✨

We were back at this beautiful period Georgian property to brighten up a bedroom and breathe some fresh life into the space — while still respecting the character and age of the home.

This project involved more than just painting:

As requested by the customer, we carefully replaced and made-good some sections of wallpaper, including repairing an area affected by an old leak where blown plaster needed attention before any decorating could begin. The ceiling wallpaper itself was over 40 years old!, so extra care was needed to achieve the best finish possible, without removing all wallpaper and starting again.

The customer wanted to introduce more warmth and brightness to the room, taking inspiration from the bedding and curtains to create a scheme that feels fresh, welcoming, and in keeping with the property's period charm.

Shades chosen:

🎨 Ceiling – Butterscotch Syrup
🎨 Walls – Mineral Mist
🎨 Woodwork – Ochre White

As always, thorough preparation was key, from caulking questionable lining/wallpaper joins, to extensive sanding and priming of the woodwork. The existing woodwork had previously been coated in wax to create a distressed finish, so removing this and properly priming the surfaces was essential to ensure a smooth, durable result that will stand the test of time.

A lovely room brought back to life for another happy returning customer 👌..looking forward to getting stuck into some other rooms at this property in a couple of weeks time 🪄

Another busy week for Flawless Finish Painting & Decorating - completed 🎨✨

This week’s project was the remainder of the job I started at the back end of last week, and involved a full refresh of a hall, stairs and landing, as well as a small downstairs toilet and an under stairs cupboard — ceilings, walls and woodwork all included ✅️.

I was so engrossed in the work that I completely forgot to take before and after photos 🤦‍♀️ (I know, i know!) but receiving reviews like this is exactly why I love what I do and makes all of the hard work - worth it ❤️

A huge thank you to this amazing customer for choosing me to carry out your project. I’m already looking forward to coming back soon to tackle the exterior works and living room! 🙂

Back to business this week after a short break in beautiful Portugal 🇵🇹☀️

Monday was spent carrying out repair works in a bedroom getting prepared for decorating in a couple of weeks’ time. Tuesday and Wednesday we were back with a returning client transforming another consultation room — always appreciated when clients come back to us for more work 👌

To finish the week, we’ve been freshening up this kitchen with newly painted walls, ceiling, and white woodwork for a client who takes great pride in keeping their property looking clean, fresh, and well presented ✨🎨

And that’s not all… we’ll be returning next week to freshen up the hall, stairway, landing, and downstairs toilet too!

Another transformation completed on behalf of SBD Building Services following this beautiful one storey extension they have custom built for their client👌

Absolutely LOVE this green shade 💚 (colour name unknown as it was colour matched and supplied by the customer) A durable, scrubbable paint, practical for a doggy friendly home, and colour to complement the stunning rural views and immaculately manicured gardens at this gorgeous property 🌿

A fantastic space finished with a flawless touch 🎨✨

Another solid 2-week block completed on this full house renovation 🔨🎨

Great progress is being made throughout the property by all trades on site (currently; builders, window fitter, electricians, plasterer and myself) I wont post more pictures just yet as its still very much a building site at present and all very white!

This 2 weeks hasn’t been without its challenges— an unplanned broken foot! 😬🤕🦴 after an accident at work (resulting in a broken foot boot for 12 weeks to avoid surgery! ..there are no sick days for colds in this household 🙊) coordinating access and working around each other can be tricky at times—but with the scale of this project and the deadline to work towards, everyone’s pulling together and pushing forward to get it done 💪 .

All in all a great 2 weeks full of graft with some great people, ice lollies, sweeties and a good old sing along to some old school bangers to get us through the day 🎶

Now stepping away for a month while I focus on completing other clients works closer to home, but not before taking a moment to appreciate these views 😍 on a beautiful spring afternoon, before loading the van back up with all my kit and prepping for next week.

Looking forward to a chilled weekend and a bit of sunshine for good measure ☀️
