I enjoy fitting cameras when I have the time to do it properly. Nowadays, I view CCTV installation as more of a DIY job, especially with the availability of WiFi cameras and plug-and-play kits. There aren’t really strict regulations to adhere to, and you don’t need any formal qualifications, which means anyone can jump in and do it.

However, there’s definitely a value in having a system professionally installed. A professional job ensures that cables are neatly hidden and that the system is set up to last. It’s all about balancing convenience and quality!

Busy day repairing some defects after an unsatisfactory condition report for a homeowner. We re-terminated and replaced some dodgy lighting connections, and we brought the consumer unit up to current standards.

We had time to upgrade their intruder alarm as well, making it smartphone controlled! Always nice to leave a home safer and more secure.
