DINGBATS DAY

A wee bit late in the day but we have a new dingbats puzzle for you.

THRIFTY THURSDAY

Almost every week when I put photos of preloved furniture up someone finds ‘just what they have been looking for’.

Have a look, is there anything here that’s calling you? You can purchase it as it is or it can be booked into Sadie’s Shed for a makeover.

WORKSHOP WEDNESDAY

In the workshop this week we have a dressing table with stool and a small side table.

1) DRESSING TABLE & STOOL
The dressing table has its original mdf top but moisture had hit in and we had a serious number of lumps and bumps to deal with.
We sanded the mdf top, taking sensible precautions, and sealed, sanded and sealed again, put a coat of BIN ZINSSER on, then sanded and then another coat of BIN and sanded again. A lot of work but it was all worth it though as we have achieved an almost perfect surface to paint on.
So now on with the Stone Rosie paint and it will be as good as new, maybe even better!
The stool has also been painted in Stone Rosie but we might have a wee bit of a wait for the fabric, the owner chose, to arrive.

2) SIDE TABLE
The little side table is being painted in Salt of The Earth and Stone Rosie and will also have some gold highlights.

3) YELLOW STOOL
The yellow stool was painted in Sadie’s Shed a number of years ago and is in for a change of colour. It was Hot as Mustard and now if will be a combination of Cool Beans and Creme de la Creme.

SAFELY DELIVERED

We delivered this unit to a lovely lady last night.

Originally it was a mahogany coloured unit and it has now been painted in Smooth Operator, from the trim paint range.

We changed the bulbs in the unit to LED ones. They will be cheaper to run and, with the lower heat output, kinder to the paintwork.

GHOST?

We either have a ghost pigeon or some wee bird has gone home with a sore head!

Can you see the outline on the window?

There was no bird on the ground when I went out to check so it must have been fit enough to get up and away.
