We are a small family run business, here in the market town of Kendal, on the fringe of the beautiful Lake District. Our aim is to introduce the idea of simply changing the look of your current kitchen, by replacing the doors and worktops and transforming the most important room in your house, for those who simply do not require a full design and build, along with unnecessary upheaval, or added ex

We are also excited to be able to show off some of the latest designs and finishes to compliment your taste, as functionality is important in the kitchen, the look and fashionable colours can now be brought to you at very attractive prices. We’re so proud of this achievement, as other small businesses will know it’s not always easy.
So thank you to everyone who has supported us since 2015, here’s to the next 10 years!

Please remember this when you see your self employed friends or family who don’t always seem themselves.

“The unfortunate truth of owning and running a business”

Running a business is extremely hard.

What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid back people.

People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.

People expect you to be available 24/7 and at the drop of a hat because “you work for yourself so you can make time” unfortunately this is not the case most of the time.

Friends and family will expect discounts and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.

You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.

Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work life balance. You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner..... All whilst being a parent, a husband or a wife, family support, friend... it’s one of the hardest things you will try and balance ever.

There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed. It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.

Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives. Be kind, be patient, support small businesses…….and hopefully more of us will stick around!

Wanting to freshen up your kitchen by simply replacing the doors and/or worktop? We recently had the job of adapting this kitchen from dark green and wood, to dark grey and marble effect.
The customer told us she is now obsessed and very happy with her new kitchen!
