So, who actually is The Carpet Repair Guy?
I'm Richard, and I've spent over 30 years working in the carpet industry, helping people get out of those horrible little situations where one bit of damage suddenly makes an otherwise perfectly good carpet look ruined.
Iron burns, pet damage, moth damage, damaged stairs, ripped carpets, doorway damage, loose carpets – I've seen just about everything over the years. And one of the biggest things experience teaches you is that the obvious repair isn't always the best repair. Sometimes customers contact me convinced they need a patch or even a completely new carpet, when there's actually another way of repairing it.
That's what I love about this job. It's not simply about knowing how to put a patch into a carpet. It's about understanding carpets well enough to look at the damage and work out the best possible way of repairing it. After more than three decades doing this, I've developed and learned techniques that can sometimes save carpets customers genuinely believed were finished.
I'm also proud to be one of the few people in the country teaching carpet repair to others. I think there's something quite special about reaching a point in your career where you're not only carrying out the work yourself, but passing those skills and knowledge on to the next generation of carpet repair professionals.
Today, The Carpet Repair Guys covers London, Kent, Surrey and Essex, helping customers save damaged carpets and, wherever possible, avoid the cost and inconvenience of unnecessary replacement.
So if you've damaged your carpet and you're wondering whether it can be saved, send us a picture. You might be surprised at what's possible.
And if you're going to trust somebody with your carpet, you may as well choose somebody who's been doing it for over 30 years – and teaches other people how to do it too. 😉
The Carpet Repair Guys – experience you can trust, repairs you might not have thought possible.
