Getting those stripes in! Managed to load it on and off the trailer too🤣💪
Getting used to double rotary blades instead of a triple and handles instead of a steering wheel has been a learning curve to say the least. Still a way to go but im impressed with my work today so thought id share it.

Social media gets a lot of criticism, but for me it's been one of the biggest tools in building my career.

It started as a way of sharing my gardening business. Then it became a way of showing that women belong in horticulture, grounds maintenance and outdoor work too.

I've gained qualifications, found opportunities, made industry connections, learned from people across the country and had conversations I would never have had otherwise.

I think the stigma around social media is its often seen as something for young people, or a place where "influencers" spend more time filming themselves than actually working.

But social media can also be a tool.

For many of us, it acts as a living CV. It showcases our skills, documents our progress, demonstrates our knowledge and gives employers, clients and colleagues an insight into what we do. It's a portfolio that can open doors, create opportunities and connect people who may never otherwise meet.

It hasn't always been easy. Putting yourself online opens you up to criticism as well as support. But if my page inspires just one girl or woman to pick up a strimmer, apply for that outdoor job, or realise these careers are an option for them, then it's been worth it.

Behind every video is someone trying to learn, improve and encourage others to do the same.

Social media didn't get me the qualifications, do the interviews or put in the hard graft. But it gave me a platform to show up, be seen and prove what I was capable of.

Social media didn't build my career for me. I still had to do the work.

But it definitely helped open a few gates.

Representation matters. Sometimes all it takes is seeing someone who looks like you doing the job to realise you can do it too.

did laugh when I picked up my electric strimmer and realised how tiny it is because ive been using the petrol one😅 my favourite place to do nothing🫡

Started off beautiful weather this morning. That turned to rain and hail quickly 🥲
West Cliffe Rose Gardens is gorgeous 😍 how have I never been here before?!. Wouldn't think ive been here all my life 😅
It was opened in 1926 and is celebrating 100 years on 26th June 2026. Cared for by volunteers who visit every Monday...such a fab job 👏 😀 👍

Hard not to spot me now, dressed as a human highlighter 🤦‍♀️
The PPE is a drain, but the jobs ok. I managed to bag beaches and parks, and now part of the Stihl army🤣

Just glad to be back out in the real world.
