Uan Wool

Uan Wool Artisan in Glen Isla, designing, growing & handcrafting supportive wool bed pillows for best sleep ♥️ Uan is Gaelic for little lamb.

It was in the story book we were reading to our children when we began our mission to improve our asthmatics sons sleep. Little did we know in 2012 , that our humble flock of sheep held the answer. These kindly creatures grow wool that has the most amazing properties. So wool is not just wool! – there are lots of different types of wool with different characteristics, just like different fine wine

s or cheeses. We started with a little wool pillow, saw how it improved our sons sleep and now we can make bespoke pillows to suit an individual’s needs. We are a family run artisan business based in the Angus Glens. Designing and hand crafting beautiful, quality pillows and warming gifts with our homegrown wool and other British wools yarns & fabric’s. Bespoke pillows created for everyone including those with neck injuries from a friendly conversation.

Starting to see adverts popping up on my fb regarding moth prevention as I get asked about this quite a bit - so I'm sharing this one as I think cedar certainly is worth a look at using in the home with children & pets as its a more natural deterant.

Everyday wardrobe care, made simple.

Place Swedish red cedar cubes directly into drawers, shelves or storage boxes to help protect knitwear and stored textiles from moths and silverfish.

Non-toxic.
Chemical-free.
Safe to use around children and pets.

Thankyou to everyone who visited us today. We had visitors from Aberdeen , Dundee & also next doors. We got a big wet felt picture "started" & our new ground level in the 1858 cart shed has given us that bigger space to complement my sewing area. Just about to have wee rest & the lambs have had their tea. Look forward to all our visitors tomorrow
