My new solo exhibition ‘HOME.’ is up! ✨
After hanging the entire exhibition myself yesterday, I’m so excited to finally share that my solo show, ‘HOME.’ is now on display at .lancaster
The exhibition is open now to view while popping in for a drink or during your meal, with a public viewing this Saturday from 2–4pm. Feel free to pop in for a look around and a chat - no need to book a table or stay for food if you’d just like to see the work but the kitchen is open if you’d like to treat yourself!
The show features a mix of original paintings inspired by the city I call home, including my biggest landscape painting to date of the Lancaster canal , & Fairfield nature reserve, as well as a few more locations close to home. Along with the originals, there’s also framed and mounted limited edition prints too.
The title Home feels especially meaningful. Lancaster is where I moved to for studying for my Fine Art degree when I was 18, where I met my husband, and where we got married at the Ashton Memorial too! After moving away for ten years to teach down south, we returned to raise our daughter when I got my teaching job at LGGS before taking the leap to pursue my dream of becoming an artist alongside teaching.
To now be exhibiting these paintings inspired by our local family walks that have shaped our lives here - feels really special. The beautiful surroundings of The Quarterhouse make the perfect setting for this collection; the work truly feels at ‘home’ here ✨
I hope you love the show as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it, and I’d love to see you there for the public viewing - this Saturday 13th June 2-4pm ❤️
