We’re pleased to share the completion of our project at Mapperley Close, Wanstead, London.

Appointed as Principal Contractor and Principal Designer, we delivered four new rooftop apartments alongside a full refurbishment of the existing building — including EWI, new façades, replacement windows and doors, and new balconies for residents.

A challenging site with restricted access, but a great result for the client and the local community.

Preserving history while preparing for the future | Great George Street

As part of our work on Great George Street, one of the key aspects of the project was restoring and upgrading the stone wall of this Grade II listed building.

We set out to respect the heritage of the site while ensuring it complemented the new builds and additional student accommodation being introduced.

The result is a striking balance between old and new: the original character of the building brought back to life, paired seamlessly with modern functionality for its next chapter.

AI in Design and Architecture | A Think Piece by Steve Hodgson

Love it or hate it, AI is here and it’s here to stay.

It’s increased the power & speed of Google Search, it’ll summarise and write reports for you, they’ve even developed an AI body scanner that can detect whether you have cancer.

But can it design buildings better than a human? We say not.

When we engage with a client to discuss their requirements, our team understand a businesses needs better than AI.

We have real world design expertise; we carry out work place studies, we look, we listen, we visit site, we learn what the client wants, needs and can afford, then we consolidate, discuss within our multidisciplinary team, review costs and compliance, then review in detail with the client.

This cannot be replicated by AI.

AI will trawl previous schemes and may create something that looks good, but it won’t be exactly what the client wants. AI doesn’t have that human touch, that understanding of a client’s needs, or the ability to issue a thorough cost plan along with the design.

That’s why we will always be better than AI.

We're moving soon! 🚚📦

Following the growth of both our company and our workforce, we've made the decision to relocate the headoffice³ HQ to a 5,072 sq ft, two-storey office in Aberford (that our architects and designers are itching to renovate!).

Another project, another tree planted Wildside Barn in Harrogate.

Our sustainability pledge is simple: for every project we start, a new tree takes root. It’s our way of giving back to the environment while we create new spaces for people to live, work, and thrive - this time planted by our Marketing Manager, Temba!

Project Update: Torkington 🚧

It’s all systems go at our £24 million Torkington development — and this week marked some major leaps forward.

🏗️ The crane is in place and lifting for the first time.
🏠 LGSF extensions are now underway.
🚛 The first dry lining deliveries have arrived on site.

From here, the pace only accelerates as we continue transforming 115,000 sq ft into 122 high-quality apartments — our largest project to date and a landmark regeneration for Stockport.

Every lift. delivery, and detail brings us one step closer to delivering this scheme — we're looking forward to the result in due time!

Inspiring the Next Generation at Torkington 🌟🏗️

We recently welcomed students from Stockport College to our Torkington site - the largest project in headoffice³’s history.

The visit gave these aspiring construction professionals first-hand insight into the scale and complexity of a live £24 million redevelopment. From major structural works to a two-storey extension and the transformation of 115,000 sq ft into 122 modern apartments, the site is a living classroom.

We are very happy to have assisted in building their skills, knowledge, and pride in shaping a major part of their hometown’s future.

Here’s to inspiring the workforce of tomorrow!
