Our cards are all original impressionistic oil paintings on wood, which was the old method used by the artist, and even today some professional artists still use wood rather than canvas, because the oil pain works with the texture of the g
rain. One single painting takes up to a year for completion, and that is from initial design & preparation, through to the storage and drying process. They have to be stored in certain conditions, and the end result being a painting that has natural longevity. Each painting is then high resolution scanned, and three slight variations made from the scan, that will make a set of 4 cards. The original oil paintings will then be released for sale after a short period, and once that has been purchased, the set of cards based on it is no longer printed. Our collections will always be growing, and some of our collections will not be sold via store outlet, and only be available via web-shop, and this includes all the oil paintings themselves. Our attention to detail & quality allows us to maintain a high standard, that gives our cards a true individuality from concept, design, wrapping & packaging too eventual sale.
