10 Tips for a Spring-Ready Garden:

1. Clear Debris: Remove fallen leaves, dead foliage, and winter weeds to reduce pests and diseases.

2. Prep and Amend Soil: Turn over soil, breaking up compaction, and mix in compost or organic matter to nourish it.

3. Prune Perennials and Shrubs: Cut back dead growth and trim shrubs to encourage new, healthy spring growth.

4. W**d Early: Remove weeds early to prevent them from stealing nutrients, which is easier after rain.

5. Mulch Borders: Apply a layer of mulch to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and regulate soil temperature.
