Managing trees affected by Ash Dieback and Acute Oak Decline.
Unstable canopies mean removals need to be done safely and in a controlled way. Where we can’t fell the tree, we use our MEWP for safe dismantling.

The other week we were able to work on this really special Oak tree at . The spec was to reduce the overextended sections of the canopy to reduce potential wind damage along with the removal of heavy/dangerous dead branches. Being the centre piece to the entire course we focused on correct pruning over creating a “perfect shape” so we can enjoy it for many more years.

Pine Tree Removal

Today we removed a pine tree due to its roots beginning to impact the patio and posing a future risk to the garage foundation.

The homeowner made the smart decision to remove it before it caused structural damage — a proactive move that helps avoid bigger headaches down the line.

Great job done by everyone today.
• Job spec : 2-3m reduction focusing on heavy lateral sections and feathering into the top of the canopy.
• Had electrical issues with the mewp but having two quality climbers on hand made light work of the remaining reduction. Thanks and and not forgetting for all his dragging 💪

• Oak monolith for a re-wilding project •
The back of the tree had a huge cavity (second picture) making the entire canopy very unstable next to a busy road. Thankfully we were able to keep the stump creating habit for many more years.

Had the privilege to work on this stunning Beech tree the other day. Spec - Reduce by approx 2m and canopy lift by approx 3m, slightly heavier on the house side to clear a chimney and apex.

• Eucalyptus reduction • Spec - reduce by approx 2m and slight lift for more sunlight into the greenhouse. Tree had previously been cut very heavily, so a number of dead branches needed to be removed. Always a tricky tree to reduce for growth points I find. horncastle
