We have completed the hoarding phase of the Lime Hills project for Bowmer and Kirkland Ltd.

The weather and terrain conditions were challenging, but we installed:
- 154 metres of Heras
- 157.5 metres of recycled uPVC hoarding (Kentledge and dug-in)
- 2 vehicle gates
- 2 pedestrian gates

A big shoutout to the team on site for the hard work and for meeting the delivery deadline with Topan's high-quality standards: Andy Morris, Connor Mote, Martyn, Ben, Alastair, Wayne, and Andy Elliott. And of course, Mike Mander.

Building the future in fencing

Last week, we had the opportunity to spend a couple of days collaborating with MPower Kernow CIC.

Michael Rawlings, Director and Contract Manager at Topan, worked with the team from Mpower Kernow to install around 60 metres of fencing while learning practical skills.

MPower Kernow is a social enterprise established to create a unique technical training centre for science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM); Construction Industry and Environmental Technology Skills by providing practical, equal opportunity learning opportunities and work experiences for the community of Cornwall to gain the real-life STEM, Construction Industry and Environmental Technology skills required to meet the international economic demand for highly skilled personnel and to meet Cornwall's Climate Emergency Goal.

Topan joins other companies supporting this initiative, including BAM UK & Ireland, Network Rail, Great Western Railway (GWR), DB Cargo (UK) Limited, and Cornwall Council, among others.

Big shout-out to the boys, they did a great job!

We installed 308 metres of kentledge hoarding for Clancy in Falmouth back in October.

After the recent weather conditions, our hoarding stood up to 100mph winds without any damage. In the words of our client: "The hoarding all stood up, amazingly, hats off to you guys, all the damage and debris was contained in the site, a fantastic job".

Thank you for the nice feedback and shout-out to our team there, who did a great job (as always).

A couple of weeks ago, our fencing team at Wadebridge School (Mark, Nick, Harry and Will) received a really nice comment from the client: "Given the weather conditions, your team have been brilliant. They don't appear to let it get them down at all."

We are really proud of how our teams approach any project, no matter the size or the conditions (like last week, when temperatures went below 0). Well done, boys!

We are looking for , from trainees to team leaders, to join our growing workforce.

What we are looking for:

- Fencing experience is a plus but not required.
- A valid CSCS card is preferred.
- A trailer license and CPCS cards are desirable.

& :

- Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
The anticipated salary range is £25,000 (trainee fencer) to £35,000 (experienced fencer).
- Based on an average of 42 hours per week, with limited away work
- PRP (Performance-Related Pay)

In 2021, the industry saw an alarming rate of su***des, with 507 workers taking their own lives. That’s an average of two people every working day.

According to data from the Office for National Statistics, workers in construction are now nearly four times more likely to die by su***de than in any other sector.

At Topan Group, we are on a mission to raise awareness about in construction and dispel the myth that men cannot express their struggles.

On August 23rd, our Procurement Manager, Jamie Tustain, and all those who want to join will cycle 507 miles in nine hours at our Liskeard depot.

We aim to raise £5,000 for Man down - supporting men’s mental health, a charity dedicated to supporting men across with mental health issues.
