New handmade item now available 🌿

This solid English oak chopping board has been handmade in our workshop and finished with a beautiful routed juice groove, raised centre panel, softened edges and rubber feet underneath for extra stability.

The natural oak grain gives each board its own character, making it ideal for everyday kitchen use, serving food, carving, or as a thoughtful handmade gift.

Finished with food-safe board oil and branded underneath with our maker’s mark.

Approx size: 30cm x 30cm x 3.8cm

A little update from us at Nash & Skeels.

As some of you may have seen, we’ve recently started making and selling handmade timber products, including solid oak chopping boards, with more items planned such as clocks, homeware, and bespoke wooden pieces.

To keep things clearer, this page will stay focused mainly on our local building, handyman, carpentry, decking, repairs, and customer project work.

Our handmade products will now have their own space under Nash & Skeels Handmade, where we’ll be sharing product photos, workshop progress, behind-the-scenes making, and new items as they become available.

It means our building work and handmade product range can both grow properly without everything getting mixed together.

We’re excited to announce that Nash & Skeels has started making and selling handmade wooden items.

As well as our usual building, carpentry and handyman work, we’re now creating handcrafted pieces from quality hardwoods — starting with handmade chopping boards, with more handmade products coming soon.

Each item is made by hand in our workshop, finished with care, and designed to be practical, long-lasting and beautiful.

We’ll be posting new products, behind-the-scenes workshop updates, and one-off pieces as they become available.

Did you know we also make custom furniture and bespoke timber features?

This customer wanted their fireplace opened back up ready for an electric fire, along with a custom-made surround to turn it into a proper feature piece.

The surround was built to suit the space, with decorative mouldings, carved details, a mantel shelf, and finished in a mahogany-style stain for a warm, traditional look.

A lovely transformation from a plain cracked wall into a character fireplace feature.
