Nugget and Tim are our 6-month old kittens and they are as cute as they are cheeky! I want to make sure they’re getting the best start in life which is why I’ve switched them to KatKin cat food. Think insta homes are perfect? Think again! Here are just a few shots from my house this week.

We have a cleaner (shout out to my amazing cleaner!) who comes once a fortnight so it looks clean and tidy once a fortnight until the kids come home from school and mess it up again 😅 how do you keep on top of everything with kids around?!

And what a tragedy befell my loo this week 😭 links to colourful toilets very much appreciated!

Anyway thought you might like to see the reality of our home because jnstagram can make it look like we all have our s**t together when we very much don’t ❤️

You know I walked into this room earlier and it was actually tidy for once, and the sun was streaming in through the windows and the cats were lazing around and the colours of the room were just shining so bright and so vibrantly, and I just thought how much I love it.

I guess that’s the whole point isn’t it, of making your home somewhere that brings you joy, that makes you feel happy when you walk into a room.

Now I’m sure some people genuinely lovely grey and white but I honestly can’t see that a great home can truly give you that spark of joy when you walk into it can it? Thankfully I won’t ever have to find out!

Ad - isn’t this table just magic?! We LOVE our new dining table from so much, especially how easy it is to make fit into any space, or for big family dinners or an intimate dinner for two. It does it all!

The benches are adjustable too, and the extra table panels are stored in a cute coffee table :)

A place designed to be used all day, from family meals, a place to play, a desk space, a place for a kitchen disco, it does it all 🪩

I’m working on something crazy cute in here today, just hope it works in theory as well as I’ve imagined it!!

I can confirm that a week in Italy soaking up all of the atmosphere, but mostly the food, is a great way to fill your cup back up!

A week of sunshine and fun times with a gorgeous gang of mates has done us all the world of good! Was bloody hot in that colosseum though 😅

10/10 would recommend.

Some pretty photos of my home, and me, and some fit food, with completely unrelated text on them!

I’ve been a bit quiet lately, not my usual bubbly self, life has been so busy it’s easy to get lost in the stress and relentlessness of it all so I’m trying to slow down, and fill my cup back up!

This is not a pity post, I’m happy, I’m just burned out - these two things can be true at the same time and it’s absolutely ok to need to take some time to look after yourself 💕 and my burn out has meant i have little inspiration for posting here, please bear with me!

AD. Part 2 of making over my decking with , this time taking it from colourful daytime space to a space perfect for both day and night-time! 

I’ve added the Gening gazebo (part of the GoodHome range), and it’s such good quality! It took us about an hour to erect it, it was really straightforward and has built-in solar powered LED lights and those side curtains so you can make it as cosy as you want. 

A couple of throws to keep warm as the evening draws in and I think the 4-seater Aconite modular corner set is the perfect place to while away the summer evenings, don’t you? I also love how it has built-in rain covers for when the British weather does its thing. We don’t have a garage and only a tiny shed, so it is a great space saver for us to be able to leave the cushions out.

AD. What a difference some good furniture can make hey?! 

This decking has been crying out for a good overhaul, it was looking tired and grubby. So I have given it a little tlc, and the best bit is, absolutely everything I needed came from  

First off, I gave everywhere a really good clean with my pressure washer (it’s the Mac Allister M3 pressure washer), and gave things a good refresh, then styled up the space with the pieces I got in store from their Coastal Cheer range – really bringing those Mediterranean Amalfi vibes, I love it!! 

The furniture set is the Aconite 4 seater modular corner coffee set and it is perfect for this space, you can use it as a corner set, or separate the benches too. The benches have a built-in sun lounger feature AND built-in rain covers, which are soooo useful if you don’t have storage space for cushions - which we don’t! 

I finished off the space with the GoodHome Egg BBQ in orange, it is such a statement piece, I can’t wait for some amazing BBQs this summer!
