What an amazing summer of cooking we’ve had in Brecon,Debs Out of School Clubs and Penderyn Community Centre 😁
We’ve made pizzas, pasta, pesto, cheesecakes, sundaes, welsh cakes, jam and butter! We’ve crumbled, whisked, chopped, steamed, boiled, griddled, baked, mashed, sieved, rolled and cut out and now it’s time to get set for another term in some fabulous local schools. We’ve got some more delicious new recipes bubbling on the stove just waiting to share with you 😁😋

Due to the success of our cooking class, run in partnership with the wonderful Time Together Contact Centre, we will be doing another session on Friday 18th Aug. Starting at 10:00 am we will be making and cooking Welsh Cakes, homemade berry jam and whipped cream - jammy, creamy and delicious! Spaces are limited, so get in touch early to book your child’s space 😊

I’m going to be in Penderyn on 7th and 8th Aug in collaboration with Penderyn Community Centre making a really tasty recipe each day. If you’d like your child/children to join us send me an email or message. Places are limited so be quick!
Teaching our children how to cook will give them so many important life skills not just cooking, and it can be so much fun!
If these two initial two sessions are popular we will be offering more over the school holidays.

School may almost be out but we’re still be running some of our brilliant cooking classes during the holidays! I’m so excited to be working with Sophie at Time Together Contact Centre to deliver a morning of cooking in Brecon on 4th August. We’ll be making 2 tasty recipes which your child will take home to share, or not!

This afternoon was all about making a trifle fit for a and I think our creative cooks achieved that, with layers of sponge, juicy berries, jelly, chocolate custard (with just enough chocolate to turn it gold!) And whipped cream - yum! As for the state of the table? Chaos is a necessary state when making art! 😁

Another great week of our after school clubs! I've not been very good at posting what we've been up to this term 🙈 but so far we've made carrot cakes, cheese and chive scones, no nut pesto pasta, raspberry buns, and 'duffins' and still have banana bread, granola bars, beany veggie balls, fritters and some Halloween themed pizzas to come! Yummm!

Another great session with our this afternoon! They made some very tasty Raspberry Buns, a cross between a cookie and a cake with the added benefit of good for us wholemeal flour 😁
