🌱🌿🌻***Volunteers needed*** We are looking for some help in the beautiful woodland area of the LCRA (next to the Llysfaen bowling green/Petanque area) for some spring planting this Sunday 6th April from 10am - 2pm. We have been able to purchase some spring bulbs and native woodland plants with the funds raised from last year's Plant Fair. Wildflower specialist Andy Houghton will be on site to guide us and pass on his knowledge. If you fancy helping out to keep this area a wildlife haven, please come along! Thank you! 🌱🌿🌻

Good morning, I hope people are still enjoying using the Seed Swap box up here in Llysfaen. We have plenty of vegetable seeds, but we seem to be running very low on flower seeds at the moment, which unfortunately might suggest that not much 'swapping' is taking place. Just a gentle reminder to anyone using the box, can you please try and replace anything you take with another pack of seeds you're not going to use. We're happy to take half packets or home collected seeds, just make sure they're clearly labelled. Thank you to everyone who has been using and donating, let's keep growing 🌻🐝🌺

TOMORROW! Our swap table will be set up for plant and seeds swapping, do bring your spares along and get swapping. Weather looks fabulous and we have some lovely stalls, perennials, wildflowers, indoor plants, trees shrubs, exotics, fruit trees, vegetables, garden furniture, local honey, eggs, fundraiser cafe with drinks, filled rolls and homemade cakes, what more do you need?! Free entry 😃

I've just been having a look through the Seed Swap box to see if anything new or exciting has been put in there, as I haven't looked for a few days. It looks as though an awful lot of flower seed packs have been taken (maybe a third of what was in there!), but they've not been replaced with anything. I totally understand that people might not have a lot to swap with and it's fine to take the odd packet here and there to get started, but please be fair and use the box in the spirit that is intended and replace what is taken, as best as you can. If everyone did this then we'd obviously have nothing in there! Thank you!

Welcome to Llysfaen Seed Swap! We have a lovely Seed Swap box outside the house for residents to come and have a look for seeds and to bring seeds to swap. There's a lot of varieties of flowers, vegetables and herb seeds available. It would be lovely to see some photos of people with their seed choices and what they have managed to grow, so please share! Happy gardening everyone! 🌱🥕🌻
