The layout is centred around a large island, creating clear working zones and an easy, practical flow for everyday use.

Neutral cabinetry, integrated storage and consistent finishes were used to keep the space functional, balanced and straightforward to live with.

As part of a full house refurbishment in Wanstead, this sitting room was constructed and delivered by DECREW, combining retained period features with new bespoke elements.

The scope included restoration of the existing parquet floor, installation of plaster mouldings and wall panelling, and coordination of finishes to achieve a clean, consistent result within the original fabric of the property.
