Bespoke isn’t just for designers. Here’s why our custom flatweave rug service works for any space, and anyone.

For as long as we have been designing flatweave, we have been making bespoke rugs. The nature of our weaving process creates a finished edge which can be joined together seamlessly by hand without the need of a folded hem. Our skilled sewing team join multiple widths by hand to create bespoke areas of wall-to-wall flooring or rugs of almost any size.

Our made-to-measure service allows you to create a tailored rug in any of our flatweave designs, complete with your choice of finishing options. Visit our website to enquire about a bespoke rug or explore our gallery for inspiration.

When colour takes a back seat, texture leads.

In contemporary office interiors, a monochrome base creates a clean, focused backdrop for work and thought. Layers of grey soften the scheme, expanding space where needed or adding depth and quiet confidence.

Our flatweave designs, including Sgraffito Osso and Finchley Stone, introduce tactile interest without visual noise. Their subtle black detailing anchors a room scheme, delivering a workspace that feels sharp, sophisticated and quietly refined.

Did you know, we use traditional hand operated Hattersley Looms from the 1950’s, which we have restored and specially adapted to weave our narrow width flatweave.

In 1989, a Hattersley Loom previously used for Harris Tweed, wove our first collection of striped flatweave in a limited number of colours, which is now regarded as our signature design. To this day, we are still honouring those age old traditions, using the skilled techniques and in-depth knowledge of our experienced weavers to craft each runner.

To learn more about the process behind each roll of our Venetian flatweave, head to the Journal page on our website for behind the scenes knowledge, interviews, styling advice and much more.

Your home is a sanctuary — a refuge away from the outside world that should offer a relaxing reprieve from the stresses of daily life.

Selecting calming colours for your interior design provides therapeutic power to alleviate stress so you can easily unwind. And while people’s response to colour varies, there are colours known scientifically to have a calming effect.

Muted blues and greens are associated with elements in nature, evoking a sense of tranquility and fostering an environment that supports relaxation. Perfect for bedroom, living room or even bathroom spaces, these cool-toned colours reflect peace and purity, giving them a symbolically soothing essence across cultures. Paired beautifully with our cool toned neutrals like Ashby silver, this scheme feels refined whilst still rich in texture.
