Georgia's number #1 developer Archi and international real estate developer NEXT have announced a strategic partnership to jointly develop the Swissôtel Kobuleti Beach Resort in Kobuleti on Georgia’s Black Sea coast.

Swissôtel Kobuleti Beach Resort will be a major new hotel and residential development that will bring world-class hospitality, leisure and investment opportunities to Kobuleti.

Designed by the Madrid Studio of Chapman Taylor, the striking architectural concept, known as ‘Three Sails’, comprises three landmark beachfront towers designed to maximise sea views while responding to the natural landscape.

The mixed-use resort will include a five-star Swissôtel hotel, residential and investment apartments, restaurants, wellness facilities, conference spaces, leisure amenities, and direct beach access, creating a vibrant year-round destination on Georgia’s rapidly growing Black Sea coastline.

10 years supporting emerging talent.

We were delighted to present awards at the University of the West of England (UWE) End of Year Degree Show last night, as part of our Bristol Studio’s ongoing annual sponsorship since 2016.

The Degree Show is a highlight of the year for students within the Faculty of Environment and Technology (FET), showcasing the exceptional work produced across both undergraduate and postgraduate architecture programmes.

Congratulations to Nathan Hunter, recipient of the Chapman Taylor Undergraduate Design Excellence Award, and Olivia Elsey, recipient of the Chapman Taylor Postgraduate Design Excellence Award.

The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity to celebrate the creativity, innovation, and dedication demonstrated by students across the school. Our Bristol Studio has proudly supported these awards since 2016, recognising outstanding design talent and encouraging the next generation of architects.

Congratulations to Nathan and Olivia, and to all students who showcased their work at this year’s Degree Show. The quality and ambition on display were truly impressive, and we wish everyone every success in their future careers.

The Educational and Research Complex in Shanghai’s innovation district has now officially completed.

The development is now occupied by the HKU School of Computing and Data Science, providing a state-of-the-art environment for education, research, and collaboration in one of the world’s fastest-evolving fields. Designed to foster knowledge exchange, creativity and interdisciplinary learning, the complex brings together flexible teaching, research and communal spaces that support the next generation of talent.

Located within Shanghai’s dynamic innovation ecosystem, the project reflects Chapman Taylor’s commitment to creating high-quality, future-focused environments that enable academic excellence and scientific advancement.

Last week at WUF13 Azerbaijan, Chapman Taylor’s Group Board Directors Marcelina Zielinska and Adrian Griffiths joined global leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to explore the future of resilient, inclusive and people-focused cities.

Throughout the forum, Marcelina contributed to a series of panel discussions, workshops and roundtables focused on urban regeneration, sustainable development, post-conflict reconstruction, and resilient urban transformation.

Our programme of events culminated in a major discussion on the sustainable redevelopment of Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, highlighting the remarkable progress being made across the Karabagh region and the role of heritage-sensitive, future-focused masterplanning in shaping long-term recovery.

Our latest project profile explores the restoration and transformation of the iconic W Hotel Prague, a landmark hospitality renovation that carefully balances heritage preservation with contemporary luxury design.

Led by our Prague studio, the project involved the sensitive restoration of the historic Grand Hotel Evropa alongside the creation of new hospitality, wellness and social spaces that reinterpret Prague’s rich Art Nouveau heritage through a contemporary lens.

From restored historic interiors and bespoke craftsmanship to immersive hospitality experiences inspired by Prague’s culture, artistry and mysticism, the project demonstrates how heritage buildings can be thoughtfully adapted for modern luxury hospitality.

Project profile: Almaty Museum of Arts.

Our latest project profile explores the Almaty Museum of Arts, designed by Chapman Taylor as Kazakhstan’s first private museum dedicated to modern and contemporary art.

Located at the foothills of the Tian Shan mountains, the 11,000m² museum combines galleries, education spaces, public terraces, and cultural venues within a striking architectural composition inspired by the relationship between city and landscape.

Since opening in September 2025, the museum has quickly established itself as a much loved social and cultural destination for Almaty, creating a vibrant platform for creativity, education and public engagement while showcasing more than 700 artworks from Kazakhstan, Central Asia and internationally renowned artists.

Construction has officially begun on the new Veyseloglu Headquarters Building and Supermarket in Baku, Azerbaijan, a major new mixed-use workplace project designed by Chapman Taylor.

The 16,000m² development will bring together Veyseloglu Group’s corporate teams within a contemporary purpose-built headquarters designed to support collaboration, wellbeing, and future growth, alongside an Araz Supermarket retail podium.

Inspired by the architectural character of Icherisheher, Baku’s historic old city, the design combines earth-toned materials with intricate geometric solar-shading screens that reinterpret traditional craftsmanship in a contemporary way.

The project reflects Chapman Taylor’s continued commitment to creating workplace environments that are flexible, culturally responsive and people-focused.

The project transforms a former office building into a contemporary, sustainability-led workplace environment designed around flexibility, wellbeing, and collaboration. Through a comprehensive repositioning strategy, the scheme delivers high-quality workspaces alongside enhanced amenities, social areas and landscape improvements that support modern ways of working.
