Environmental restoration is inseparable from social justice: our take-use-discard mentality has caused suffering and damage to groups of people as well as nature over centuries.

Furthermore, the violence and consequences of that mentality has not been distributed equally. Its difficult as a micro-business to know what to do meaningfully to show solidarity with those affected, but we want to try.

In light of the concerns overnight expressed by members of the civil rights movement in USA and staff at Facebook about its stance on racism, we will no longer be spending any money with Facebook either on this platform or boosted ads on Instagram.

We don't spend a lot, but hope it doesn't seem like an entirely empty gesture. There will be organisations who might make similar decisions for similar reasons, who's actions would speak louder. We hope they do.
