Three years on, this contemporary city garden in Teddington has truly matured 🌿

Lush herbaceous planting and grasses now weave through the Breedon gravel paths and soften the clay paver seating area, creating privacy, structure and year-round interest in a densely urban setting.

A garden designed to offer beauty and calm, with a naturalistic feel at its heart, developed in close collaboration with our client - and one we are incredibly proud to see flourish.

Shaping with plants 🌿🌷🌿

This steeply stepped border, designed and planted by
us as part of a full garden design in 2022/23, and
lovingly maintained by our after care team, has grown
into a vibrant and colourful bank. It frames the lawn
beautifully and draws the eye out into the landscape
beyond.

‘Was für eine Pracht‘ 💚🌸🌿

These german words sprang to my mind admiring the Echinaceas today in a garden we look after in Ashtead, Surrey.

It translates simply to
‚What a show stopper‘ or ‚What a magnificence‘

What a joy to revisit this garden in Claygate, Surrey this week – planted only in April – and I was completely blown away by how beautiful and mature the planting looked, forming a wonderful background to exquisite stonework 🌿

The transformation from a sloping plot to a fully usable family space is everything we hoped for and more.

The brief: a family garden with level lawn, usable space at the far end, and retain a steep slope.

The solution: robust gabion walls, a circular fire pit with uninterrupted views across open fields into the landscape, and a majestic oak tree anchoring the scene.

Built over the winter by the very talented Ali and his team , what an excellent result!

A stepped gravel path now leads down along the level lawn to the cozy fire pit, all set in natural stone. Near the house, generous terraces create multiple zones – a covered outdoor kitchen, space for a hot tub, kids’ play area, and plenty of room to relax or entertain. Generous steps connect different levels and are laid with travertine paving.

Low-maintenance planting keeps gardening easy, and the client is taking great care of it – always a joy to see 🌱

A perfect family garden that balances beauty with practicality.

What a wonderful occasion to see this stunning garden in Teddington open to the public last Sunday as part of the National Garden Scheme, so many visitors enjoying the garden!

Designed by Cleve West and passionately nurtured and further developed by the owner in collaboration with us, team Anna and Tom and Lukas, we could not have been more proud to be involved in such a special garden project.

A huge thank you to Kate and it was wonderful to finally meet you Cleve!

Got some great first photos today re-visiting a newly built garden which is now in its first summer looking stunning!

We planted last year in November and the plants look now lush and abundant. Small borders are packed with pollinator friendly planting, and a seating area tucked away from the neighbours views closely to the new garden room.

Our exciting project for a lovely client in is further developing.

Phase 2 was finished last year with planting done in spring. The design complements a newly built Huf Haus .

I revisited to check on the plants recently and the large Miscanthus grasses are finally starting to take off. They will frame the pool and provide a dramatic backdrop to the meadow.

We used to frame the pool area and connect with the lower levels in the garden. The floating steps are unbeatable!

So far this has aged well and I’m looking forward to the planting to mature over the next years.

The soil is very challenging chalk.

We planted Birch trees in the steep Meadow and have started phase 3 adding a deck to the existing garden room. Looking beautiful!

We are currently working on the design for this lowest part of the garden, which will focus on a gravel garden with Mediterranean vibes and spaces to grow food.

We are always proud to showcase our work 💚🙏

This garden in London was build and planted in 2024. Only one year later and the planting looks lush and colourful, with overspilling planting softening gravel path and patio.

The main focus is a wildlife friendly, naturalistic planting border across the width of the garden separating patio from the lawn, with a gravel path leading into the back crossing the main border.

It was transformed from an unloved, neglected garden into a little paradise.
