Last week I got to see a project completed that spanned end of lockdown and a new baby arrival for lovely owners Abby and Phil. During these major life changes- the design evolved through a number of variations. The sketches here show a few of these- exploring what is feasible spatially, and also where we could spent the budget to add the@most value.

The final design replaced a freezing 1990s conservatory and extension into a highly insulated living, kitchen and dining space which bought light into the depth of the long Victorian home and connections to the garden. We reused existing walls and floor where feasible to use the budget wisely on the upgrade.

It’s always worth spending time exploring a number of options before you submit your planning application. They are relatively quick to develop and cost and will make sure your investment in your home really delivers on design and budget. Built with and - thank you
