When London-based designer Harriet Nicholls (.interiordesign ) planned the kitchen at the heart of her family home - recently in Homes & Gardens - she came to us with one clear vision: absolute symmetry.

Cabinetry that mirrors itself wall to wall. A darker island to anchor the light. Every practical detail tucked invisibly behind the beauty. The result feels collected rather than decorated - polished, but made for real life.
