The electronic security industry is classed as a key industry.
Before the visit, enquiries should be made as to the health of the occupants ensuring that there is no possibility of there being a COVID case or suspected case within the household.
In all cases, social distancing measures must be adhered to in the event of a visit being required.
The engineer attending, must wear a mask, maintain a safe social distance from the client(s) and even, where possible ask them to stay in a separate room. He/she should also utilise hand sanitiser gels regularly dependent upon the time on site.
In addition, the premises should be well ventilated and drinks of tea or coffee should neither be offered nor accepted.
Upon completion of the requested work, all equipment surfaces should be cleaned with anti-bacterial wipes. Any parts that may have been replaced should be removed and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
