Can I just Alliterate how important it is to check you are using a competent person.
This customer had spent there well earned money to get outside lights fitted to the house.
We were called out to fault find why the whole house tripped out ever time the rain came.
It didn't take us long to find the issue.
The person that fitted the outside lights had done an awful job.
Bringing power cables through the top of an ip rated connection box with the wrong sized glands so water was making it's way down the cables filling the connection with water causing a short.
After ripping all the previous work done by this Cowboy out and are doing all the work to the correct and safe standards the customer can now relax and not worry the house electrics will trip off when it rains.
