Maidstone Art Society

Maidstone Art Society Maidstone Art Society is friendly and sociable group which aims to encourage and support those interested in Art. Annual Membership is £25 a year.

For anyone who wishes to find out further details, or would like to join, please see our contact form on our website www.maidstoneartsociety.com. Our membership year runs from 1 September to 31 August. The Society, formed in 1922, has about 90 members. It has a programme of interesting, varied and stimulating monthly meetings at Madginford Hall from September through to May. These feature Friday e

vening demonstrations and/or talks on various aspects of art or artists, in different mediums and given by professional artists or speakers. In 2022-23 we started to hold half day Saturday morning workshops in a variety of mediums. The Society has a prestigious Annual Exhibition during the summer in Maidstone, a Life Study Group which meets most weeks and a summer programme of painting out days at various venues, mostly in Mid Kent. We started urban sketching days in 2022 and due to their success these will continue. Full details of our programme of events can be found on our website. New and potential members and guests are most welcome at our monthly meetings held at Madginford Hall. The first visit is free. £3 per visit thereafter for upto three visits per year.
