🌿✨ My client dreamed of a social space where friends and family could gather outdoors. Together, we reimagined their existing garden and seamlessly connected the areas to create something truly special.
🏡 .a.mlandscaping brought my design to life with a fabulous oak party barn—fully kitted out with an outdoor kitchen, stylish bar, and dining area. The new ties it all together beautifully, making this the ultimate entertaining destination.
🍷🥂 From summer evenings to cozy autumn nights, this garden is now the heart of every celebration.

🌿 Mews Garden Makeover in Malpas 🌿 Delighted to have reimagined this lovely garden for a fabulous elderly lady who adores gardening! Over time, the space had become a little lost—full of uneven surfaces, tricky level changes, and scattered pots that made it difficult to move around and enjoy.
She wanted simplicity, beauty, and accessibility. So I designed an elegant circular layout, reusing her charming water feature and creating multiple seating spots to soak up the space. Most of the garden was levelled, with a gentle slope added where needed—to future-proof it and make it easy to navigate for years to come.
🪴 A big shout-out to my talented husband, Andrew Betts (AJB Landscapes), who brought the design to life with a quality build. We were able to keep many of the lovely mature shrubs and trees, adding perennials for summer colour.
We chose Honey Cathedral, a gorgeous limestone product from , which adds warmth and timeless appeal to the garden.
From tricky levels to tranquil retreat—this garden now has a renewed spirit, to be enjoyed for many years to come!

Delighted to have worked with this lovely young couple in Liverpool. They had a modest budget and a big dream to transform their garden. They wanted to have plenty of planting but it needed to be practical with 2 dogs and busy lives. They also wanted to be able to sit in the sunny spot of the garden and for it to feel more private. We needed to address the boundary fencing and provide suitable storage for their garden tools and garden furniture. The budget didn't stretch to renew turf or the existing paving but a good pressure wash has brightened them up. The design has given them a lovely deck area ( clarity) that catches the sun and now feels much more private with the solid fencing, planting beds and clever placement of trees to mask the view of the neighbouring properties. Raised planters in rusty steel provide a practical and contemporary feature. Once the trees and plants get established this is going to look even more gorgeous than it already does! They absolutely love it!

Loved working on this design to transform the back garden of a lovely barn conversion in Cheshire. My client is a keen gardener and wanted plenty of planting beds and a pleasant place to sit. I wanted to create different 'rooms' for her, beautiful views and a garden that is in-keeping with the vernacular of the surrounding barns - picking up on the circle windows and the colours of the brick. We used Honey Cathedral limestone paving and setts to define the paths and spaces. The top circle is her dining terrace, the middle circle is the perfect spot for a bench nestled amongst the flowers. Raised planters constructed from larch make a striking feature. Landscaping by my talented husband Andrew Betts, AJB Landscapes. Can't wait to see it all planted up.

What a transformation! This project was quite the challenge...good friends had recently renovated their cottage and wanted their garden to compliment the beautiful interior. They have a large garden but access to it wasn't great and the area immediately by the house was unusable. They wanted better connection to the garden, and a space for entertaining, but here's the challenge - they also needed to extend the drive to accommodate 4 vehicles but without the whole area feeling like a carpark. I designed the space on the 45 degree to make the drive larger whilst also creating 2 lovely seating areas connected by a cobbled path and feature raised planting beds provide a stunning view from the house.

We used 'Antique Cragside Sandstone', and 'Pavestone Slimsett Anthracite' cobbles supplied by plants supplied by

Loved working with this lovely family. Their garden wasn’t practical for family life, lethal steps and a dominating wall. Too costly to remove the wall we cleverly engulfed it, repositioned the steps, added and planting borders. They now have a dining terrace (composite deck) and a lounging terrace (porcelain). Gorgeous and practical. Landscaping by Andrew Betts - AJB Landscapes .

Delighted to work with a gentleman who loves his plants, and wanted a beautiful garden. His garden is not huge and is north facing and he was keen to create somewhere to socialise and provide stunning views from the house and garden office)soon to be installed). We created a new deck area (composite), extended the existing Indian stone paving and installed a stunning bespoke Cotten planter with a floating bench. Along with a gorgeous corten water feature. Soon the planter and water feature will naturally weather to a rich rusty brown. Landscaping by my husband Andrew Betts, www.ajblandscapes.com

A couple of weekends ago we spent a fabulous day at Trentham Gardens, Stoke-on-Trent. Its a fabulous place to go and get inspired for your planting schemes. The late summer colour stars for us were Eupatorium macalatum Atropurpureum, Persicaria amplexicaulis, Veronicastrum (we think album!) and Eryngium planum. But I most enjoyed seeing the fairies ( ) and it has inspired me to think about incorporating sculptures into my designs. I was also reminded of how important structures are by the beautiful iron arch.
