Does your grass suffer from w**ds coming through in May?
We recommend a deep-rooted w**der to yank out those stubborn dandelions by hand, then overseed bare spots with our seed.

Our w**der is built to reach deep roots without tearing up the soil.
I usually pull w**ds on a damp morning to ease extraction and improve germination.

Alternatively, you can apply a selective w**d killer but then wait six weeks before sowing new seed – arrrgghh, right?

Tomorrow I’ll be feeding my grass with our liquid seaw**d at 2 ml per m², the perfect gentle boost as we welcome the warmth of May.
I usually dilute it in water and spray evenly across the lawn for better absorption.

This seaw**d mix is so potent it gives roots a real kick without burning leaves—think of it as a green energy drink for your grass. 😄
Best applied in the cool of the evening to avoid evaporation and sun stress. 🌿

Shout-out to our customer for sharing this snapshot of Premium Shade Grass Seed thriving beneath oaks.
It’s incredible to see such lush coverage in early April.

I tend to recommend a light top dressing in spring to keep the roots cosy.
Gentle watering twice a week usually does the trick without turning your lawn into a swamp – unless your mower fancies a paddle! 🙂

Our blend is designed to thrive in low light, so south-facing spots need not feel left out.

Just gave the grass a quick mow this April — short snips for fresh growth. 🌱
I usually set the blades a notch higher to keep the lawn healthy and upright.

A tidy trim keeps w**ds at bay and ensures even sun exposure across the sward.
My mower did threaten to go on strike until I fed it some oil — divas, eh? 🙂

For detailed tips, check our April mowing guide.

Tomorrow I’ll be applying a light layer of our Lawn Sand containing iron to tackle moss on the lawn. I tend to spread it evenly with a hand broadcaster for best results.

In the pic you can see around 4kg per m2 – that’s my go-to for spring moss control. Don’t worry, it won’t turn your grass blue (unless you like a smurf lawn!).

It’s April, so timing couldn’t be better. Drop a Y in the comments if you’d like the product link. 😊🌱

Liquid Seaw**d is a natural booster for grass, rich in trace elements and hormones that help roots develop strong and deep.
It also encourages microbial life in the soil, which improves nutrient uptake.

I like to apply our Liquid Seaw**d in early April as the soil warms.
It’s easy: dilute and spray after mowing for rapid green-up.

It’s so effective, you might jokingly suspect your lawn has sea legs.

How long does grass seed take to grow?
It usually emerges between one and four weeks when warmth, rain and sun align.

I tend to mention that cooler temperatures or dry spells will delay germination.
Our advice is to keep the soil lightly damp and shield new shoots from heavy rain.

Patience is a virtue, especially when April showers play hard to find!
This month’s ideal for sowing, but don’t expect a magic overnight carpet.

April is here and growth is ramping up across the UK.
I tend to sharpen the mower blades and keep grass cut at around 2.5 cm.

A dose of liquid seaw**d gives roots a real boost and helps fend off stress during changeable weather.
It even smells of the seaside – minus the seagull squawks!

What spreader do you use when preparing your lawn for April applications?
I tend to reach for the Caster Jug Spreader for even coverage every time.

It’s simple to adjust and saves me from guessing rates, especially in damp conditions.
It won't win any drag races, but it gets the job done with a smile. 😄🌱

Is your grass seed taking longer than expected to germinate – don’t worry, this might be why.
April nights can still dip below 8°C, slowing germination.

I tend to pair new seed with a granular feed.
Our Signature Spring Feed or Pre-Seed fertiliser gives roots a kick-start.

I like to top up when the soil warms each afternoon.
Cold snaps aren’t just for penguins, after all. ❄️😂

Just done a quick aeration on the lawn
Continuous football with the kids had left it as hard as an old boot.

I like to loosen the soil to help roots breathe and improve water absorption.
Aeration also reduces surface pooling after showers.

It’s amazing how a few holes can transform a compacted patch into a spongy playground (the grass might start tapping out a beat).
