This is our recently finished project in Salford.
Our customer had draughty, rattling and partially rotten single glazed sashes.
The project was a pleasure to be part of as the inside of these sashes needed to be sprayed in a beautiful deep green.

The Old Wellington Inn and Sinclair’s Oyster Rooms in Manchester began as a mid 16th century house, later raised five feet in 1971 to match the new street level.

Damaged in the 1996 Manchester bombing, they were repaired and reopened, but redevelopment plans soon called for their dismantling and relocation nearer Manchester Cathedral to form Shambles Square.

More than 10,000 pieces were numbered and taken apart, and by November 1999 the buildings had been rebuilt in an L shaped arrangement rather than their original straight line.

With Christmas fast approaching, nothing beats fitting a new double glazed bay of sash windows.

A true winter warmer for our clients ❄️

On this particular project in Heaton moor, our team had the pleasure of transforming the existing rotten single glazed windows into new double glazed sashes fitted into the existing box frame.

* Rotten timber sills and sections have been spliced out and replaced with like for like Accoya sections and Oak sills.

* Fully sprayed double glazed sashes fitted into existing

* Replacement sash cords and correctly fitted counter weights

* All finished up with brass window furniture and security locks.

As a company for us there is nothing more satisfying than receiving a message from one of our customers just appreciating how happy they are with our work.

This customer in Heaton moor had just purchased this beautiful Victorian property and was very conscious about retaining the look but definitely wanted her windows to be safer, warmer and more energy efficient.

A range of work later including brand new box sash windows and casement, double glazed sashes into existing frames and restoring original sash boxes that had badly fitted plastic windows installed inside them we are here.

Now this project is all finished we are very proud to say we had the pleasure of restoring the windows of the last remaining Georgian Mansion on king street in Manchester!

This grade 2 listed building built in 1736 as a residence for Dr Peter Waring, it has been through a lot.
It’s been a mansion, a bank, a shop and was even damaged in the 1996 IRA bomb.

When we get asked to work with listed windows our job is simple. Restore the sashes, eliminate the rot and restore functionality.

Many long days later that is exactly what we delivered.

Fully functional and draught-proofed sashes, all glass repaired and finished off with our brass window furniture.

With Oasis returning this year, Nothing could be more fitting than to have the opportunity to restore and double glaze a pair of icon style windows made famous by one of oasis’s most iconic album covers!

Retaining all the moulding and character of these windows was a must and unfortunately as the years had gone by the stained glass has been completely destroyed on one of the windows.

Luckily we were called in to make these warmer and safer while keeping the style fitting of a rockstar.

Our friends at created these beautiful stained glass commissions to match the original design, We fitted them along with our fully sprayed double glazed casements, thermally coated double glazed units with a slender glazing bead to match the putty.
All beautifully finished off with our traditional brass window furniture and security locks.

After visiting this beautiful cottage in Bowden on one of our most recent surveys, we discovered our customer was suffering with none functional windows due to poorly spliced external sills, rot and years of paint everywhere it shouldn’t be.

* like for like replacement double glazed sashes fitted into the external frame

*Rotten external cills removed and replaced with our oak sills

*All windows draught-proofed and functional top and bottom

*All moulding and profiles matched

Introducing this week’s job of the week!

This beautiful property in Heaton Mersey had been purchased by our most recent clients because of its beautiful original features.

However, in order to make it warmer, quieter and more secure they needed a company who could achieve this while keeping the original look and style of the property.

This is where we came in.

New Accoya double glazed sashes were fitted into the existing frames.

Rotten sills have been replaced with our fully sprayed oak sills.

The existing stained glass sashes downstairs were refurbished and repainted.

All windows have been draught-proofed and finished with our own brass window furniture and security locks.

This beautiful Victorian property in Bowden is our most recently finished project.

7 fully spray finished brand new sash windows (including 2 new bays)

3 pair of double glazed sashes fitted into the existing frame

1 replacement Oak sill.

All finished with our own antique brass window furniture

All windows have been profile matched to the originals to maintain that authentic look, the double glazing will massively improve thermal and acoustic insulation and essentially eliminate condensation build up.

This project also included a beautiful arched window in the dining room with weighed 75lb a sash 🤯

We particularly loved this project for the stories the house told including our customer finding a section of newspaper from 1897.
