Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Garlic Parmesan Chicken
Prep time: 10 mins | Cook time: 15–18 mins | Serves: 2–4
Ingredients :
2 large chicken breasts
8 slices bacon (standard cut works best; thick-cut may take longer to crisp)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dried parsley (for garnish)
Directions:
Prep the Chicken: Slice each chicken breast in half lengthwise to create 4 even cutlets. Pat them dry with a paper towel so the seasoning sticks better.
Make the Rub: In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, parmesan, paprika, salt, pepper, and olive oil to form a paste.
Season: Rub the mixture generously over all sides of each chicken piece.
Wrap: Wrap each chicken piece tightly with 2 slices of bacon. Pro-tip: Tuck the ends of the bacon underneath the chicken so they don't unravel during the air frying process.
Air Fry: Place the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they aren't touching for maximum airflow.
Temperature: 200°C (400°F)
Time: 15–18 minutes.
Flip (Optional): Gently flip the chicken halfway through (around the 8-minute mark) to ensure the bacon is crispy all the way around.
Check for Doneness: Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).
Serve: Sprinkle with dried parsley and let it rest for 2–3 minutes before serving to keep the juices locked in.
Quick Air Fryer Tips::
Avoid Overcrowding: If your air fryer is small, cook in two batches. Overcrowding leads to soggy bacon!
Smoke Check: If the bacon grease causes your air fryer to smoke, place a slice of bread or a tablespoon of water in the bottom of the air fryer drawer (underneath the basket) to soak up the drippings.
Enjoy your meal!
