Out with the old, in with the new 🔨

This opening had seen better days — the original rusted steel angle lintel externally and deteriorated timber lintel internally were no longer providing adequate support.

Works carried out included:
✔️ Carefully propping the structure above
✔️ Removing the failed lintels
✔️ Installing a new galvanised Catnic lintel
✔️ Fitting a cavity tray and weep holes for proper moisture management
✔️ Stitching the brickwork back up with new matching bricks

A proper structural repair carried out safely and correctly to ensure long-term support and protection from future water ingress.

This archway was left fully open, which didn’t suit how the space was being used day to day.

Keeps the light flowing through but gives the option to separate the space when needed ✔

This one started in a bad way… heavy damage, full strip out and taken right back before rebuilding from scratch.

1700s property stripped back and rebuilt properly 🔨

This one needed more than just a facelift…
✔ Full rewire
✔ New plaster throughout
✔ Structural prep & rebuild

The goal was to create a small cottage-style kitchen with a more open, usable feel while keeping the character of the property.

Clean, simple finish with modern touches but still in keeping with the age of the home.

(We got a bit excited and forgot the original before pic before the rip out 🤣)
