Marden in Bloom Marden in Bloom is part of the Britain in Bloom campaign where residents & businesses can work together to improve their environment.

Marden in Bloom is part of the Britain in Bloom, campaign where Boroughs, communities, residents, businesses can work together to improve their environment. We have three main objectives:

1. See an increase in the number of people involved in gardening and horticulture and to see the standard maintained or rise wherever possible.

2. To see improvement in how we care for our environment, includ

ing how we care for scarce resources such as water.

3. How we come together as communities and make a contribution to the above by getting involved and making our Neighbourhoods, Villages, Towns & cities better places to live work and visit.

So many thanks 🙏 to everyone that came along to the Marden in Bloom quiz last night to support the ‘Bloomers’ projects- it certainly was a very successful money-raising event. So many thanks to the businesses who so generously donated raffle prizes: Brigade Gym, Balfour Winery, Willow End Tea Room, Herbert Hall, the Post Office Cafe, No 47, the Unicorn 🦄 pub, the Green Door, Massage Angel and AJP Fitness - this helps us to continue our projects to brighten up our lovely village 🌺 🤩 🙏

Thank you to everyone who took part in yesterday's Scarecrow Safari. We are pleased to announce the results. In first place.... Stanley Garage's Dolly Parton scarecrow.

In second place the KPop scarecrows from the Snow family kids.

Well done to everyone who's taking part in the Scarecrow Safari today. An amazing array of entries again. Don't forget to come to Southons Fields for tea and cake as you walk around today. You can vote for your favourite there or by email until 5pm tomorrow.

Come along to the Marden in Bloom Scarecrow Safari today! The scarecrows will be displayed around the village from 11.30am to 3.30pm. Pick up a map from Stanley's Garage, the West End Stores or the Old Post Office Cafe (who are also now entering the safari). Don't forget to come and see the scarecrows in Southons Fields. You can also vote for your favourite scarecrow there and enjoy tea and delicious cakes.
