A change in season at Le Lappe | Tuscany giving way to it's soft and atmospheric features.

Nestled amidst the wild rolling hills of the Chianti, this is a place we had to find out about. An Italian family-owned hotel with an elegant, laid-back charm, each room is full of beautifully preserved details, from barley-twist bed posts to painted striped walls, cosy fireplaces and hand painted murals by Assia Pallavicino, all thoughtfully capturing the beauty of the surrounding nature and landscape.

A little weekend inspiration and one most definitely on the must visit list.

TENT STRIPES: The cutest 12” Ruffles featuring the perfectly imperfect painterly linen stripes from Nichola Taylorson are leaving the studio this week.

Always a joy to make, each shade is handcrafted to order and available in four sizes, with our smallest 12” making the perfect pairing with our traditional swan neck wall arms. A unique way to uplift and soften a room.

FACETS OF LIGHT: I’m thrilled to introduce the second part of the AURA Collection, a concept I’ve been busy working on and exploring over the past year or so. In contrast to our softer ruffles, it’s a celebratory study of clean lines and strong angles with a clear nod to mid-century design focusing on textural elements and bespoke braiding, whilst keeping our signature pleats at the core of each shade. Handstitched in a recycled matte silk weave, each handmade element has been carefully considered and chosen for their natural texture, longevity and sustainable provenance. I’m so pleased to see the collection evolve and hope you love the new shapes as much as I’ve enjoyed exploring them.

Made to order using traditional methods in our Derbyshire studio, the collection is available in a harmonious earthy palette of Nougat, Oatmeal, Chalk, Pistachio and Sky, with each shape emitting a soft ambient glow for a clean, timeless and contemporary look.

Carolina Irving's Paris apartment in the October issue of The World of Interiors is a beautifully eclectic and inspiring place full of treasured and collected finds.
Amongst the layers of textiles and wonderful patterns, we're delighted to find one of our linen ruffle lampshades bringing a gentle softness to the bedroom.

A treasure trove of colour and pattern 🌷🌷
These beautiful snaps have appeared in the latest edition of The World of Interiors featuring textile designer Carolina Irving’s (Carolina Irving) Paris apartment. Set amongst the tulips are a colourful array of collected finds from fritware pottery to Córdoba tiles, paintings, plates and glassware. I’m so thrilled to find our linen striped Ruffle pendant hanging calmly here in the bedroom against this deep tangerine backdrop, an 18th-century rose embroidery and assortment of block prints and embroidered suzanis. 🪡
